2. Introductory Provisions

  1. These Terms set out rules for: registration; use of the Store; placing orders; delivery and payment; rights to cancel or withdraw; and complaint handling.
  2. To use the Store, you need a device with internet access and a modern browser; to place orders, you also need an active email address.
  3. Customers must not provide unlawful content or interfere with the Store’s functioning.
  4. Placing orders requires registration unless an order method is explicitly available to guests.
  5. The activity of the idescu.ie online store is aimed at fulfilling individual orders and the needs of customers. The configuration tools available in the idescu.ie online store cannot be used by professional entities engaged in the delivery or design of window compositions (curtains, drapes, blinds) in their business activity. The online store idescu.ie offers cooperation to these entities on individually agreed terms.
  6. The customer is obliged to refrain from any activity that could negatively affect the proper functioning of the idescu.ie online store, including in particular any interference with the content of the idescu.ie online store or its technical elements.

3. Registration / Customer Account

  1. Registration allows Customers to: enter, edit and delete data (including delivery addresses), place orders, create wish lists, receive newsletters (if subscribed), and use discount codes.
  2. To register, you must provide your name (or nickname), address, email and a password, and accept these Terms.
  3. After registering, we will send a confirmation email; registration is complete once confirmed.
  4. Registration and account maintenance are free. You may request account deletion at any time — contact [email protected]. We will verify ownership before deleting the account. Deleting an account does not affect orders already in process.
  5. The Store may terminate or suspend an account where the Customer persistently breaches these Terms, supplies unlawful content, or otherwise misuses the Service.

4. Product Information

  1. Most products in the Store are made to the Customer’s specifications (custom or personalised goods).
  2. Product descriptions, configurator measurements and visualisations are indicative. Customers are responsible for checking and, where appropriate, ordering fabric samples to confirm colour and pattern.
  3. Prices shown on the Store include VAT and are in the currency displayed on the page.
  4. Prices are calculated according to selected parameters (model, material, size, finishes and optional extras), and the final binding price is the price shown at order placement (excluding delivery costs, which are displayed separately).
  5. Further product information is available via the contact email or telephone number on the Store.
  6. The Store may also offer ready-made items (e.g. customer returns adapted for resale). These will be clearly identified in the product description.
Important — Customised Goods & Withdrawal:
All of our products are personalised or made-to-measure, unless stated otherwise, and do not fall under the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers (see section 9). We will always clearly mark product pages where a product is customised or personalised.

5. Rules for Ordering Products

I. Custom / Made-to-Order Products

  1. Custom products should be ordered via a registered Customer Account (unless otherwise stated).
  2. To order a custom product, use the configurator, enter the required dimensions and options, and confirm the order.
  3. Changes or cancellations are possible until an order has entered processing. After processing begins, changes may not be possible — contact us immediately if you need to amend an order.

II. Ready-Made Products

  1. Select a ready-made product, add it to the cart and follow the checkout flow to confirm the order.

III. Common Provisions

  1. Before placing an order, you will be shown an order summary with the total price (including VAT), delivery costs, chosen payment and delivery method, and any additional fees.
  2. After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email containing the order number and a summary of the order.
  3. Orders are processed after payment is received (unless a “pay on delivery” option is explicitly offered).
  4. If we cannot fulfil an order because selected materials are unavailable, we will inform you immediately and refund any sums paid within the refund times in section 8.

6. Delivery & Payment

  1. Goods are normally shipped after payment has been received and when manufactured as per the customer's order.
  2. Accepted payment methods are displayed at checkout (credit/debit card and electronic transfer via our payment provider).
  3. Unless we have agreed otherwise, delivery will be made within 30 calendar days from the date of order, or within any other period agreed at the time of purchase. If we fail to deliver within the agreed time, you may ask us to deliver by a new date; if we still fail, you may cancel the order and receive a refund. (See section 10.)
  4. We will issue a receipt or invoice. If you require a VAT invoice, provide the required billing information at checkout.
  5. On receipt of the shipment, please inspect the packaging and goods and note any visible damage on the courier delivery note and notify us immediately; this helps with any complaint or claim.
  6. If, as a result of an error in the information system, it is found that the price of the order placed by the customer has been miscalculated and is obviously too low or too high, the online store idescu.ie will return the overpaid part of the price to the customer within 5 days from the date the order was placed, in the case where the price was too high.If the price was too low, we will immediately contact the customer to provide the correct price for the placed order, and confirm whether the customer, after obtaining information about the correct price, is still interested in carrying out the order. In the event of a lack of interest in carrying out the order, the online store idescu.ie will return the paid price within 5 days from the date of placing the order, or will wait for the payment of the difference.

7. Guarantee & Complaints

  1. All products are covered by statutory rights against non-conformity and by any manufacturer's warranties stated on the product page.
  2. If a product is defective or not as described, the Consumer has legal remedies: repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
  3. To submit a complaint, use the complaint form on the Website or contact [email protected]. Provide order number, description of the defect and photos where possible.
  4. We will acknowledge receipt of a complaint promptly and aim to communicate a proposed remedy without undue delay. If we do not respond within a reasonable time, you may escalate using local consumer dispute resolution alternatives described in section 10.
  5. If a complaint is accepted, we will repair or replace the item or offer a refund or price reduction as appropriate; if returning a defective product, we will reimburse reasonable return costs where required by law.

8. Refunds

  1. When a refund is due (after withdrawal, cancellation, or accepted complaint) we will effect the refund without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 calendar days from the date on which we are informed of the Customer’s decision to withdraw or from the date we have received the returned goods (or proof of shipment), as required by law.
  2. Refunds will be made using the same payment method originally used, unless you agree otherwise.
  3. If the payment was made by bank transfer, we will refund to the account used to pay, where feasible; if that is not possible, we will request bank account details to complete the refund.

9. Right of Withdrawal (Consumer Cooling-Off)

  1. Under EU and Irish consumer law, Consumers generally have the right to withdraw from distance contracts within 14 calendar days from the day they or a third party designated by them receive the goods. The right does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised.
  2. Customised/personalised goods: Because most products on the Store are custom-made to the Customer’s specifications (for example, made-to-measure curtains and blinds), the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to such custom products. This applies to all products configured on the pages by the customer.
  3. Regardless of the above, the Idescu.ie online store, despite the lack of a legal obligation, offers the Customer the possibility of returning the first ordered product made according to the individual configuration of the Customer, including tailored to the individual needs of the Customer, with a deduction of 10% of the value of this order. This right does not apply to subsequent orders fulfilled by the Idescu.ie online store according to the Customer's configuration.
  4. Ready-made products: For non-custom ready-made items, the standard 14-day withdrawal rights apply. The withdrawal period is counted in calendar days and starts from the day the goods are received.
  5. To exercise the right to withdraw, the Customer must inform us by an unambiguous statement (e.g. email) before the withdrawal period ends. A model withdrawal form is provided in the annexe below (you may use it, but it is not mandatory).
  6. When withdrawing, the Customer must return goods within 14 days of informing us. The Customer bears the direct cost of returning the goods unless otherwise stated; however, if we failed to inform the Customer of return costs at purchase, we will bear them.
  7. Where the Customer withdraws, we will refund all payments no later than 14 calendar days after receiving the goods or proof of shipment, using the same payment method unless the Customer agrees otherwise.
  8. The Consumer is liable for any diminished value resulting from handling goods beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

10. Final Provisions

  1. The sales contract is concluded between the Customer and iDESCU (Kaja-Tex Bartłomiej Kasiński).
  2. Product listings on the Store do not always constitute an offer — in many cases, they are invitations to treat for made-to-order goods.
  3. These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Ireland. If you are a Consumer and habitually resident in another EU Member State, the mandatory consumer protection law of your country applies where applicable.
  4. Consumers may use national out-of-court dispute resolution bodies or the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
  5. We may amend these Terms. We will publish the updated Terms on the Store; changes affecting ongoing orders will not be applied to orders already accepted.
  6. Privacy, data protection and cookies are governed by a separate Privacy & Cookies Policy available on the Store.
  7. These Terms are effective from: [insert date]. Please replace the date before publishing.
